We hiked down Paria Canyon and it took us four days and we were exhausted after this monumental trip.

We were on our way to a photoshoot, driving up Clear Creek Canyon. It was a beautiful sunny day. I enjoyed looking at all the rocks and outcroppings when my eyes caught a majestic golden eagle sitting on a fallen tree at the edge of the canyon wall. I had to paint this.

I walked around Barr Lake in Colorado, many years ago, when I came across this lovely island.

It was a perfect day, we where climbing around on the rocks of the Rocky Mountains. The recent Flood had totally changed the landscape and piled large boulders and rocks in new places. We ejoyed the sunshine, our cameras dangling at the side, when we noticed that we had stumbled right into a herd of Bighorn Sheep Rams eyeing us suspiciously. We took as many photos as we could while carefully backing up in order to not disturb them more than possible. They blended in so well that we had not seen them, at all. This is the moment I tried to capture in this Painting. Count them, 12 Rams, all lined up and hard to see!

I just put the brush to the canvas and voila! Here it is. It doesn't always work out this way. More often than not I plan everything and work for weeks, months or even years until I finally like it.

I started to doodle early on and was always drawn to sketching. In Art School I picked up the finer querks and secrets to successful drawing. Many of my customers appreciate the distinct feeling that communicates throughout my art.
It feels nice to know that I have created Portraits and Paintings for people that value them as their heirlooms.
Taught drawing and painting for 15 years. Also stained glass and silk screen printing for adults and printing T-shirts and photo dark room classes with the school kids.
